Rules of Entry (please read before downloading Entry Forms)
The Glasgow Business Awards 2017 are free to enter for Glasgow Chamber of Commerce members and all businesses based in Glasgow and the surrounding area.
Businesses owned by parent companies or groups based outwith Glasgow may enter provided that the Glasgow organisation can demonstrate a significant degree of autonomy over its operations, policies and strategies.
Award sponsors or companies owned by or affiliated with award sponsors may not enter the category they sponsor.
Supporting information is not permitted unless it forms part of the entry document eg testimonials. A maximum of 5 insertions (eg tables, graphs or photos) may be included within the entry form. Please be aware that any website links used within your entry may not be activated by the judges.
Entries will be judged at two stages by an impartial panel of judges.
Award winners will be announced at the Awards dinner and ceremony on Thursday 5 October 2017.
Entry to more than one category is allowed.
All entries will be acknowledged on receipt and completed entry forms will become the property of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
Proof of sending entry (by email) is not proof of receipt.
Glasgow Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to withdraw an award from any applicant supplying false information within their entry. Judges reserve the right to audit any information supplied. Incomplete entries will not be judged.
The closing date for entries is 5.00 pm on Friday 23 June 2017.
The judges’ decisions are final and while feedback may be provided, no correspondence will be entered into. In certain cases, shortlisted organisations may be required to submit sets of audited accounts as supplementary information and/or a site visit may be requested.
Finalists for the award categories will receive two complimentary tickets to attend The Glasgow Business Awards 2017 Dinner and Awards Ceremony, to be held at the Hilton Glasgow Hotel on Thursday 5 October 2017, when the winner in each category will be announced. A maximum number of two complimentary tickets per finalist organisation will be issued, regardless of the number of categories the company/organisation or any individuals are shortlisted for.
Information supplied will be shared with the judging panel and all information will be treated as confidential. It will not be used for any purpose other than judging the competition. Finalist organisations may be included in related media coverage and may be required to take part in promotional activities about The Glasgow Business Awards 2017.
