Brexit is a moving feast and it is getting more and more difficult to keep up with the political developments of late. Regardless of politics, we can all agree that Brexit is impacting every business and individual working in your business and that the next few weeks are going to be turbulent for the British Economy and indeed ROW (Rest of World).
To assist us in our thinking we arepulling together a panel of speakers to reflect on what their business or organisation has being doing to minimise Brexit disruption. One of our speakers will be Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, Principal at University of Glasgow who will discuss the post-Brexit economy and the prospects for Scotland and the UK. We will also welcome a SME Business Leader to reflect on their outlook as we move toward the exit date.
The Glasgow Talks session will also be a opportunity for members to engage directly with the session Chair, Katy Wedderburn which as well as her role as a partner of; employment lawyer at MacRoberts; and a member of its BREXIT Group, she Chairs Glasgow Chamber of Commerce's BREXIT Watch forum - which acts to represent the Chamber membership and the Chamber team on the work that they do.
The session is by no means a political debate on the merits of Brexit but is instead a discussion on what businesses are doing to ensure a smooth transition.
The Glasgow Talks event is delivered in partnership with Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow and Clydesdale Bank.
