The exceptional circumstances of the COVID-19 global pandemic have caused massive disruption and unprecedented interventions by governments across the world. The impact on many businesses has been devastating and many city centres are on the brink of serious and sustained economic damage.
With this in mind, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce partnered with Royal Bank of Scotland to offer an webinar to discuss where the economy of Glasgow city region is today, the effects of COVID-19 on the city and the key asks of policy makers as we head into winter.
With a panel of leaders of some of our city’s key economic assets to discuss the current situation for Glasgow, and explore how they have addressed some of the key challenges that face their organisations, what strategies have they developed to adapt to the rapidly changing environment and what they believe may be key opportunities for the city to lead its way out of the crisis.
