Glasgow’s Style Mile is set to become home to a number of new retailers, boosting the city centre’s offering.
Swarovski and Yankee Store have recently set-up shop in St Enoch’s Centre, with Starbucks and Schuh Kids both expected to open later this month. The introduction of new stores comes soon after the recent renovation of St. Enoch’s Food Court, which underwent a multi-million-pound redevelopment earlier this year.
Anne Ledgerwood, general manager of St. Enoch Centre, said: “It is an exciting time for St. Enoch Centre with proposed redevelopment underway including a new VUE cinema and a current application for three new, reconfigured flagship retail units on Argyle Street. The proposed development will help Glasgow to maintain its reputation as the leading shopping destination outside of London.”
Buchanan Galleries will also welcome a new fashion retailer as Monki moves into the previous H&M unit, teasing fans with a ‘coming soon’ sign in the window. The Swedish brand, an independent brand of H&M, offers a unique clothing style, featuring a mix between Scandinavian and Asian street clothing.
Out with the city centre’s shopping centres, Sauchiehall Street will see the opening on Bonmarche, while U.S brand Levi’s has applied for planning permission to take over the Karen Millen unit.
