Employers have just one month to apply for the Flexible Workforce Development Fund, set up by the Scottish Government.
Businesses paying the Apprenticeship Levy are eligible to apply through Glasgow Clyde College for up to £10,000 to help towards employee training; however, the deadline for applications to the fund close on 15 December.
Glasgow Clyde College will help support businesses through the application process and deliver training for staff at any venue. The college will also work with businesses to create a unique programme relevant to their specific requirements in order to develop skills and knowledge within the company’s workforce.
John Canning, head of business development at Glasgow Clyde College said “We have had a large number of businesses apply for the Flexible Workforce Development Fund after understanding the benefits as a business paying the Apprenticeship Levy.
“At Glasgow Clyde College, we can help your business through each stage, offering advice on the application process. If successful and funding is granted, we will deliver training through our variety of courses – or we can design a fully customised training service, tailored to business needs.
“This is a great opportunity for companies paying the Apprenticeship Levy to benefit from training, however with only a month left to apply, time is running out and we’re encouraging businesses to come forward and apply for funding.”
