Dr Lodge said on starting her new position:

“I am delighted to be joining such an innovative and inspiring educational institution as City of Glasgow College. I am particularly excited by the college’s values and mission to change lives through inspiration, excellence and innovation. It is certainly making an impact locally and internationally.

“I am a firm believer that the academic quality of any intuition’s provision lies at the core of what we promise and deliver to our students. So, over the coming weeks, I’m really looking forward to getting to know all the teaching and support staff. They are positively contributing to our dynamic tertiary sector and changing lives daily.”

Dr Lodge is an active researcher, specialising in the prose writings of Edwin Muir and the history of Communication. She has published widely in a number of areas, including regional and international education.

She has an impressive reputation for inclusive leadership and a strong track record of success in partnership working across the UK as well as internationally.

“To have a leader of this calibre and dedication joining us is very exciting and we look forward to seeing what further innovation she will bring to the role.”
