Bauer Media Group’s Radio Clyde today (Wednesday 1st August 2018) announced the appointment of Lynsey Collins as Sales Director.
Lynsey (37) will spearhead the 16-strong award-winning commercial team at one of Bauer Media’s biggest and most successful stations.
Lynsey will look to hit annual sales targets, drive growth across the local sales team as well as the station’s highly respected creative and digital departments, ensuring clients are offered the highest level of service to meet their business objectives.
With over 16 years’ experience under her belt Collins has a strong sales track record in the radio industry. She has worked with clients including Arnold Clark, Frankie & Benny’s (The Restaurant Group), the Scotty Brand from Albert Bartlet and Taggarts Motor Group. She also oversaw the implementation of a pan-European digital audio campaign for daysoft, a UK-wide contact lenses company.
Lynsey said: “I’m so pleased to be joining the team at Radio Clyde, a well-established, heritage brand. The station is a household name that I grew up listening to as Radio Clyde is synonymous with the West of Scotland.
“I am passionate about radio advertising and sales, I love the whole process from start to finish, from the creation of ideas right up to the planning and execution of the campaign, working with clients to achieve a desired goal.”
Joining Radio Clyde is the realisation of a dream for Lynsey who first visited the station at the age of 21.
She said: “I was given a tour of the studios and I left with a feeling of excitement that you only get from being in a big media hub. I came away thinking I really want to work there – so it’s very exciting that after all these years I’ve now been appointed as the Sales Director.
“I’m really looking forward to working with the clients at Radio Clyde as well as introducing new clients to the brand. The sales team is very successful and has been delivering results for local businesses and national brands for over 40 years. I will be focusing on growing our portfolio of clients, exceeding targets and driving revenue. I look forward to playing my part to ensure the station continues to go from strength to strength.”
Cathy Kirk, Station Director, Radio Clyde said: “On behalf of everyone here at Radio Clyde we would like to offer a warm welcome to Lynsey. She has a wealth of experience in radio advertising and she will make an excellent addition to the team here at Radio Clyde.”
