Continuing our international links with Italy, Richard Muir, Glasgow Chamber Deputy Chief Executive, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Wednesday 21 February to further strengthen relations and foster investments between the twin cities of Glasgow and Turin. The signing of the MOU was preceded by a discussion around the opportunities for connecting Scottish businesses with the market in Piedmont and in particular the 230,000 members of the Turin Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting was attended by Leonardo Simonelli, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK (ICCIUK), Helen Girgenti, Secretary General of the ICCIUK, Leandro Franchi and Maurizio Tinto, President and Vice-President respectively of the Scottish Board of the ICCIUK, Davide Bargna, Scottish Branch Manager of the ICCIUK, Guido Bolatto, Secretary General of the Turin Chamber of Commerce and Giovanni Pischedda, Business Development and Internationalisation Manager of the Turin Chamber of Commerce.
