Glasgow Credit Union reached a milestone achievement this week by partnering with their 100th Glasgow-based employer, Pursuit Marketing.
Employer Partner services offered by Glasgow Credit Union include a safe and convenient way to save regularly, straight from employee salaries, access to a range of exclusive loans and mortgages, as well as regular on-site financial education workshops. This follows findings that 71% of employees say their top source of stress is personal finance, according to research by Green Path Financial Wellness. Research has also found that financial concerns can lead to mental and physical distress, so by incorporating financial wellness into a workplace, employees will be better educated and able to fully concentrate on their job.
Lorraine Gray, Operations Director at Pursuit Marketing stated:
“Introducing Glasgow Credit Union to our employee benefits package was straightforward and offers staff access to a great range of financial services including savings, loans and mortgages. For us, it’s a no-brainer to help and support the financial health of our staff. The seamless payroll repayments make it easy for staff to save and build a buffer for any unexpected expenses. Glasgow Credit Union is a great example of a finance company with a social purpose and it certainly has the potential to ease any financial worries of our staff.”
David Ross, CEO at Glasgow Credit Union noted:
“With almost 30 years providing ethical financial services to the people of Glasgow, Glasgow Credit Union is regarded as one of the most popular staff benefits by employers throughout the city who already offer the services to staff.”
Glasgow Credit Union is the largest and most successful credit union in the UK. As well as providing access to financial products, it also provides financial education seminars in the workplace aiming to better equip workers with financial knowledge to help encourage good money management skills.
