TLT expands clean energy specialist team in Scotland

TLT has appointed clean energy specialist Pamela Sealey as an associate in Scotland as part of its UK-wide real estate group and multi-disciplinary clean energy sector team.

Sealey joins from the energy and natural resources team at Scotland-headquartered UK firm Shepherd & Wedderburn, where she completed a year's secondment as legal counsel at 2020 Renewables (now Forsa Energy), a developer with experience in developing, constructing and operating windfarms.

Sealey acts for developers and landowners across a range of energy projects including wind, gas peaking, energy storage, hydro and solar projects. She has also advised on project refinancing and mainstream commercial property including lease and purchase transactions, with previous clients including ScottishPower and Forsa Energy.

The news follows TLT's recent acquisition of commercial real estate firm Leslie Wolfson & Co and the appointment of clean energy real estate partner Nick Shenken in Scotland.

John Paul Sheridan, location head for TLT in Scotland, says: "We are growing at all levels of the firm in Scotland and it is rewarding to see such great talent as Pamela seeking to take their career to the next level at TLT."

Richard Turnbull, real estate partner in the clean energy sector team at TLT based in Glasgow, says: "Pamela joins with a strong track record in clean energy development and M&A work and with an excellent reputation for client service and delivery, which is consistent with our core values at TLT. She is an ambitious and driven lawyer who we are delighted to welcome into our expanding Scottish real estate team."

Pamela Sealey, associate at TLT, says: "TLT is at the leading edge of the clean energy sector. It has been active in the market for decades and works across the full project lifecycle, from development to funding to M&A. I am excited to be joining such a credible and pioneering team and looking forward to working with our clients in Scotland to help drive the market forward."
