Teaming up with Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow Chamber is to host an evening networking event in the company of Dippy and da Vinci.
This relaxed evening will provide a great opportunity to meet fellow Chamber members, while enjoying a bit of the city’s culture over drinks and canapes. Dippy, the Natural History Museum’s iconic Diplodocus dinosaur has been setting records since opening in Glasgow in January. Over 450,000 people have now visited the 26-metre cast since it arrived at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, making Glasgow the most visited stop on the dinosaur’s UK tour.
The museum is also hosting an exhibition marking the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death, showcasing 12 of his drawings (on loan from the Royal Collection) in ‘A Life in Drawing’. On the evening, delegates will be joined by Dr Neil Ballantyne (Kelvingrove Museum Manager) and Pippa Stephenson (Curator of the da Vinci exhibition) who will share what hosting these exhibitions has meant for the museum and Glasgow.
With both exhibitions leaving Glasgow in early May, this networking evening presents one of the last opportunities to enjoy both of these exhibitions.
