If you were under the impression there’s not a lot happening on the banks of the Clyde, here’s something to make you think again.
A new video produced by the City Council, which was given its premiere to an audience of international investors at the recent MIPIM property conference in Cannes, details the massively impressive list of developments which are about to re-invigorate Glasgow’s waterfront and surrounding areas.
The film shows that Glasgow, for the first time in many decades, is about to again become a city “on the river” and not “by the river”.
It traces a journey starting at the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland near Glasgow Airport and ending at Clyde Gateway, which is transforming the East End.
In between it highlights an impressive list of developments which would be the pride of any city including innovation districts around the University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Peel Outlets at Glasgow Harbour, SEC expansion, the latest phase at Pacific Quay, Barclays Bank at Buchanan Wharf and plans for Lancefield Quay. Central Quay and Custom House Quay.
The video ends with an open invitation to investors “come to Glasgow and meet us”.
