Stagecoach West Scotland is pleased to announce a partnership with Ayr Racecourse, making the company the official transport provider of the Coral Scottish Grand National. It will now be easier than ever for racegoers to attend Scotland’s biggest horse racing event on Saturday 12 April 2025 using the bus.
This comes after a successful trial at the Ayr Gold Cup in September with both Stagecoach and Ayr Racecourse now announcing their partnership.
As part of the partnership, a new ticket option called ‘Transport & Entry’ has been introduced. This option includes return bus or coach travel along with the entry ticket. Tickets are available for Club, Grandstand Premier and Grandstand options, starting at £45 for a return journey. These tickets can be purchased on the Ayr Racecourse website:https://www.ayr-racecourse.co.uk/event/coral-scottish-grand-national/saturday-raceday/.
Bus is available from a wide range of locations across Scotland. Racegoers can be picked up and dropped off after the event from pickup locations in:
‘Transport & Entry’ tickets are also available for Ladies Day on 11 April 2025 from Glasgow only.
In addition to ‘Transport & Entry’ tickets, racegoers can use the Stagecoach Bus App to plan their journeys outside of the official transport services to and from Ayr Racecourse on event days. Digital Single and Return tickets are now available for purchase within the app, making it convenient for those who only need to travel on the day of the races. For more information, customers can visit stagecoachbus.com.
Fiona Doherty, Managing Director of Stagecoach West Scotland said: “We are excited to announce our new partnership with Ayr Racecourse, which will make it easier for people in our communities to get to and from the Scottish Grand National. Together, we have launched 'Transport & Entry' ticket options to provide convenient travel. Our selected locations are designed to accommodate as many people as possible, allowing for reliable travel with Stagecoach services throughout the event. We hope everyone has a fantastic day at the races.”
David Brown, Managing Director of Ayr Racecourse added: "We are delighted to partner with Stagecoach for the Coral Scottish Grand National, enhancing the experience for our racegoers with convenient transport and entry ticket options. The introduction of new routes will make it even easier for racegoers to join us for one of the biggest events in the racing calendar, and we look forward to welcoming everyone for an unforgettable weekend at the racecourse."
As is the case in most years, demand for tickets is expected to be high. Therefore, both Stagecoach and Ayr Racecourse urge those looking to attend to secure their tickets sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.
