The Scottish Construction Summit (SCS) has announced the launch of the Future Talent Hub, a new dedicated feature at this year’s event designed to connect the next generation of construction and housing professionals with the businesses shaping Scotland’s built environment.
Delivered in partnership with Developing the Young Workforce (DYW), the Hub will provide a purpose-built space within Scotland’s largest construction event where businesses, training providers and education organisations can engage directly with school pupils, college and university students, and apprentices actively exploring careers in the sector.
The initiative responds to a growing challenge facing the industry: an ageing workforce, declining numbers of young people entering construction, and rising demand across the built environment. Rather than operating as a standalone careers fair, the Future Talent Hub has been designed as a practical meeting point between industry and future recruits, giving exhibitors a focused opportunity to raise awareness of the career paths and opportunities available.
The Future Talent Hub will be co-located with the Scottish Construction Summit and Scottish Housing Summit on Thursday 22 October 2026 at Hall 5, SEC Glasgow. The event is free to attend and expects to welcome thousands of industry professionals, alongside more than 50 exhibitors and a headline speaker line-up.

It’s a practical answer to one of the industry’s most pressing long-term challenges.”
