Global real estate advisor CBRE has advised Bauer Media Group on its relocation to 100 Queen Street in Glasgow City Centre, where its flagship radio station Clyde 1 will be broadcasting from for the first time in 42 years.
Currently based in Clydebank, Clyde 1 will move into its new home in spring 2026, marking a major milestone for the station and a significant investment by Bauer Media Group in its Scottish operations.
The 7,432 sq ft space at 100 Queen Street will include state-of-the-art broadcast studios, open-plan office areas and social areas. The move brings together the entire Clyde 1 family under one roof, with Cash for Kids, Bauer Create, and Bauer’s commercial teams all relocating to the new premises.
Clyde 1’s new studios will also be home to flagship shows including Bowie @ Breakfast, Garry Spence, Superscoreboard, Grant Thomson, Callum Gallacher, Amber, and the station’s award-winning news team.
Located in the heart of Glasgow City Centre, 100 Queen Street is a Grade A office building powered entirely by renewable energy and holds an EPC A rating. Its modern, energy-efficient design is complemented by high-quality amenities such as showers and changing facilities, as well as access to excellent transport links and Glasgow’s extensive food and drink scene.
Martin Speirs, Director at CBRE Scotland, said: “Clyde 1’s move to 100 Queen Street is fantastic news for both Bauer Media Group and Glasgow City Centre. With best-in-class office and studio space, unbeatable transport links nearby, and the vibrancy of the city centre and nearby Merchant City on its doorstop, the Clyde 1 team will have an inspiring new HQ to broadcast one of Scotland’s most-loved radio stations from.
“Importantly this represents a major, long-term investment in Clyde 1’s future and supporting Bauer Media Group on this journey has been incredibly rewarding. We look forward to seeing their creative energy come to life in their new space.”
David Robertson, Director of Content, Hits Radio Network (Scotland & N.I.), said: “Clyde 1 has been Glasgow and the West’s number one station for over 50 years. As we continue to evolve in a fast-paced digital world, this move reflects our commitment to staying ahead - with modern facilities that will help us grow our market-leading position into the future.
“We’re thrilled to have found such a fitting new home - right in the city centre, next to one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks. Our teams can’t wait to get settled in and begin this exciting new era.”
