We’re going ‘All In’ for Glasgow 2026

By Rebecca Ricketts, Campaign and Project Lead, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and Business Engagement Specialist, Glasgow 2026

If there’s one thing Glasgow knows how to do, it’s show up.

We’ve done it for COP26. We did it for the UCI Cycling World Championships and throughout last year’s 850th anniversary celebrations for our city. And now, we’re about to do it again as the Commonwealth Games return to our city from 23 July – 2 August 2026.

When I look back at the campaigns I’ve been lucky enough to lead, Plate up for Glasgow, Grounds for Recycling and Taste the Place, they all share one thing in common, they only worked because businesses leaned in. Not cautiously, not half-heartedly but All In.

When the opportunity arose to join Phil Batty OBE’s team at the Glasgow 2026 Organising Company as Business Engagement Specialist, it felt like a natural next chapter. Alongside my role as Campaign and Project Lead at Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, I’m working across both organisations to help Glasgow’s businesses make the most of the opportunities the Games bring. It’s a real privilege to continue championing our business community and having a foot in both camps enables me to help Glasgow’s businesses make the very most of this unique opportunity for our city.

If there’s ever been a moment for our business community to shine, this is it.

Delivered with £150 million of private funding, the Games will see investment into the city and energise the visitor economy. But beyond the numbers, this is about pride, profile and possibility. Over 3,000 athletes and 3,000 volunteers will be here. The world will be watching. And every café, consultancy, retailer, hotel, manufacturer and creative studio forms part of the welcome.

That’s where All In comes in.

All In is a call to action for businesses and communities across Scotland to show visible, welcoming support during Games time. It’s free to use, simple to activate and designed so organisations of every size can take part.  For some, that might mean displaying the All In logo in your window, adding it to your email footer or briefing your frontline teams to be ready with a warm “Welcome to Glasgow.”

For hospitality, it could mean Games-inspired menus and cocktails, themed playlists or table talkers.  For other business sectors, it might be a staff fundraiser, a special offer, or simply creating an atmosphere that says we’re proud to be part of this moment.

All In is not an official Games accreditation or partnership but is open to businesses wishing to show their support and create a warm welcome for athletes and spectators. Sponsorship options are also available for businesses interested in direct association with the Games.

We’ve always been a city that steps forward. So, my invitation to you is simple, let’s make the Glasgow 2026 Games another chapter in that story.  Let’s welcome the world properly.  Let’s show them our creativity, our hospitality, our businesses at their very best.

We’re All In… I hope you are too.
