Glasgow’s Climate Week

This year, Glasgow’s Climate Week will run from Monday 11 – Saturday 16 May. The aim of Climate Week is to get people involved with climate action and to show off the great work that is happening around the city that supports the environment. 

This will be Glasgow’s third Climate Week. Last year we had a wide mixture of events including: gardening and biodiversity sessions, sustainable crafts, repair workshops, family self-guided trail, cycle tour, talks, careers and networking sessions, and a film showing. We are hoping to have a really wide mix of events on offer, providing Glaswegians with lots of opportunities to get involved! 

Register you interest

This email is a call out to any organisations or groups who would be interested in running their own event as part of Glasgow’s Climate Week. This can include events that you would be running anyway during Climate Week (between the 11 – 16 May) that you might like to be promoted as part of the Climate Week events programme. 

If you would like to run an event then:

• Your event must be run independently by yourselves
• However we will include it as part of the Climate Week Events Programme which is promoted through a range of channels, both before and during climate week.
• All Climate Week events will be listed on our dedicated Glasgow’s Climate Week page on the Sustainable Glasgow website.

Timeline

• Feb: We would love to hear from those who are considering running an event, even if you don’t know the details at this stage.
• Mar - Apr: Once we receive the details of your event then we can include them as part of the Events Programme. The earlier the better so we can generate interest from the public.
