David has over 25 years of experience in General Management, Operations Management and Process Improvement; working for the past 20 years in the Life Science sector.
David enjoyed 18 years at Merck Life Science, working both in the UK and US, most notably leading their Contract Testing Services business in Glasgow from 2017 to 2024 during a period of high growth and expansion for the site. He then spent a year in Basel, Switzerland as COO for Solvias AG before returning to Scotland in mid-2025 to join Symbiosis Pharmaceutical Services, also in the role of COO.
David holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from Glasgow Caledonian University and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Practitioner from General Electric and the Shingijitsu Corporation respectively.
In addition to his role at Symbiosis, David is a Non-Executive Director on the board of NHS Golden Jubilee.
