The cost and supply of energy is increasing at unprecedented levels and is a issue for both domestic and business customers. For businesses, which are separate from the domestic price cap it can be the difference between profitability and survival.
In a recent British Chamber’s of Commerce survey, energy bills were the most common cost concern, confirmed by 67% of the firms involved. BCC has issued a five-point plan to government to make a clear statement that the extraordinary pressure facing households after the Ofgem price cap adjustment is at least as serious for businesses.
Keith Anderson, CEO of ScottishPower has been a prominent and vocal leader in the call for a pandemic level-response and support from Government, and has called on the industry to engage with Government and identify solutions and approaches to the crisis.
We welcome returning Glasgow Talks speaker Keith Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of ScottishPower and a member of the ScottishPower Board (where he was appointed in February 2012) to discuss the cost of energy with the Glasgow business community.
