I promised earlier in June that we would be publishing a series of blogs looking at referendum issues important to Chamber members or to the economic growth of Glasgow.
The first issue I've tackled is the critical one of currency union.
The reason became obvious as I was writing it. Tackling the currency union issue with respect and not with glib pronouncements needs a bit more space than a conventional blog allows. We've tried hard to explore the growing list of independent commentaries on the topic and treat each argument seriously.
Needless to say - as for so many issues in this debate - what would happen after the referendum result is impossible to guarantee. Opinions amongst economists and technical commentators are just as divided as those amongst politicians.
The referendum blog series will continue in July and throughout the weeks leading to the vote.
For those heading off for a traditional Glasgow break, enjoy the holiday.
