It’s almost that time again. Scottish Exam Results Day 2019 (6 August) is fast-approaching and while many young people will be celebrating and looking forward to the future, many will be consumed by fear and dread and unsure of their next steps.
DYW Glasgow are once again campaigning to raise awareness of the range and diversity of career paths following school through #NoWrongPath. #NoWrongPath is a social media movement established in 2017 which aims to provide inspiration and reassurance, further showcasing the range and diversity of career paths available.
We recognise that some young people may be disheartened by their exam results and so we are aiming to show that many people in interesting and exciting job roles across Scotland may not have taken a straight, obvious or traditional path to get there. These exam results are most definitely not the only key to unlocking your success. Last year we had 25 million impressions and 15,000 contributors … lets get even more reach this year.
Now in its third year, we’re taking the campaign a step further and have created the #NoWrongPath resources hub that will exist beyond Exam Results Day. We currently have 40 contributors to the site including SDS Exam helpline, NHS Scotland, BBC Scotland, Scottish Power, S1 jobs, Colleges, Universities, SAMH among others.
Help us make sure our young people are informed this coming Exam Results Day (Tuesday 6 August) and post your ‘path’ to social media using #NoWrongPath.
