The A70 road closure at the train station is affecting the following bus services:

  • Service 301: Ayr – Holmston
  • Service 302: Ayr - Prestwick
  • Service 3: Kincaidston – Ayr – Whitletts
  • Service 7: Ayr – Castlehill
  • Service 52: Ayr – Bellsbank
  • Service 361: Ayr – Straiton
  • Service 347: Ayr – Rankinston
  • Service 42/X42/42A: Ayr – Muirkirk
  • Service 43: Ayr – New Cumnock

Fiona Doherty, Managing Director of Stagecoach West Scotland, highlighted the importance of planning ahead, stating, “Although the diversions have been in place for a few weeks now, we want to remind our customers that these diversions may add some extra time to their journeys. We recommend that anyone travelling to and from Ayr town centre plan ahead and familiarise themselves with the diverted routes.”

Information will be displayed at bus stops, and Stagecoach has published further details on its website.

Stagecoach apologies for any inconvenience caused to customers during the road closure.  If customers have any further questions, they are encouraged to contact Stagecoach customer service on 0345 241 8000 between 08:00 and 18:00 from Monday to Friday and between 09:00 and 17:00 Saturday and Sunday.
