Elite Contract Furniture, a furniture business in Glasgow, is product to announce the launch of their campaign “70 Beds for 70 Years”. In celebration of their 70th anniversary, the company aims to donate 70 beds and mattress to children throughout Glasgow who do not have a bed of their own.
The inspiration behind the campaign stems from the company’s rich history as a mattress manufacturer and their deep-rooted commitment to giving back to the local community. “Elite was started by my grandfather in the Gorbals 70 years ago! Having continued as part of the community for 7 wonderful decades, we wanted to mark this accomplishment by making a meaningful difference to the lives of children in need.” Greg Winston, Director at Elite.
According to a Bernardo’s study, 32% of children in Glasgow live below the poverty line and shockingly 6% of children in the UK do not have a bed of their own. This campaign seeks to address this issue by providing brand new, comfortable sleeping arrangements to those who need it most.
All money donated will go directly towards the beds and mattresses themselves. To get the ball rolling Elite will be donating 5 beds directly to the campaign. Elite is committed to making a positive impact and hopes the “70 Beds for 70 Years” will bring comfort and joy to children throughout Glasgow.
