Scottish Water has issued an update on its emergency repair to a damaged sewer on Pollokshaws Road, Shawlands in Glasgow.
They are pleased to say that they have completed the repair and all being well, the traffic management will be removed and the road fully reopened by Thursday evening.
They had initially planned for up to eight weeks to carry out what appeared to be a complicated excavation given the presence of a strategic water main and other utilities.
However, the contractor George Leslie Ltd was able to come up with a solution to work around these potential obstacles and Scottish Water is now able to be off site nearly four weeks earlier than anticipated.
Scottish Water is extremely grateful to road users and residents for their patience.
