The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is delighted to announce that we will host our annual Business Lunch, sponsored by Azets, on Friday 4 October 2024, at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.
Over the years, The Business Lunch has welcomed a fantastic range of guest speakers, including Tracy Black, CBI Scotland Director; Sir Brian Souter; Brian Duffy of Watches of Switzerland; Mark Gallagher, F1 expert, and The Rt Hon Brian Wilson of Harris Tweed Hebrides, to name a few. This year is no different!
Guest Speaker - Benny Higgins
Benny Higgins began his career at Standard Life in 1983 and rose to become a member of the Standard Life Group Executive Committee in 1996. He then moved to RBS, where he led the integration of NatWest Retail Banking and became Chief Executive of Retail Banking. Later, he held leadership positions at HBOS, Tesco Bank, and Group Strategy Director at Tesco plc. He has also served on various boards, including the University of Glasgow's Finance Committee and is currently Executive Chairman of the Buccleuch Group, Chairman of several organizations, and holds numerous honorary professorships and doctorates from prestigious universities.
This year, we are delighted to welcome back our host, Scottish broadcaster and TV presenter Rona Dougall and she looks forward to welcoming everyone.
More than 250 guests will enjoy a relaxed drinks reception, a two-course lunch, followed by an interactive Q&A session with our guest speaker. And, of course, the best networking tends to happen in the Champagne bar following lunch.
The Business Lunch is an ideal opportunity for professionals across Scotland to meet, network and join in supporting Glasgow’s Hospice, and we do hope you can join us once again.
