JWF appoints Net Zero and Sustainability Advisor

The instrumentation and measurement specialist, JWF Process Solutions, has appointed Jack Gatensby to the newly created role of Net Zero and Sustainability Advisor to lead the creation and delivery of its ESG strategy.

Integral to the role, Jack will be responsible for keeping the business abreast of the latest net zero regulations and legislation, as well as advising on how JWF’s products and services support its customers' journey to net zero.

Jack first joined the business in February 2024 on placement as part of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce’s Step Up to Net Zero programme, in partnership with Glasgow City Council and UK Shared Prosperity Fund. After the six-month placement concluded, he was hired permanently by JWF.

He will continue to review and implement the Step Up to Net Zero action plan that was created during his placement, as well as actively supporting the company’s involvement in the Net Zero Nation accelerator.

Robert Allan, Director at JWF, said: “As a business community, we are all under increasing pressure to reduce our environmental impact and we have been proactively tapping into the various resources and expertise available. We have clear objectives and measurements in place so we are not only able to meet our own decarbonisation goals, but can also support our clients meet theirs too.

“We’re delighted to welcome Jack to the team following his deep dive into our environmental management practices earlier in the year, and he has already made a big impact on progressing our policies and procedures with meaningful action plans being implemented across the business.”

Jack added: “Having already made significant progress on key projects, such as forming the benchmark for our annual carbon accounts, and starting the process of auditing the net zero credentials of the company’s supply chain, I’m really looking forward to taking ownership of these business critical projects in the longer term, including the development of our ‘Driving Sustainability Through Measurement’ business strategy.”
