NHS Golden Jubilee’s Chloe Peace is Radiography Professional of the Year for Scotland

NHS Golden Jubilee is thrilled to announce that Chloe Peace, an Advanced Practitioner in Radiography, has been awarded the prestigious title of Radiography Professional of the Year for Scotland by the Society of Radiographers.

Chloe has been recognised in the annual Radiography Awards, a prominent celebration acknowledging exceptional contributions to the radiography profession.

This accolade is a testament to Chloe’s commitment to excellence in patient care and professional development. Having achieved Advanced Practitioner status early in her career, Chloe, 28, is now embarking on further studies towards her Master’s degree.

As part of her professional growth, she will soon be expanding her role to include MRI reporting, enhancing her scope of practice and bringing added expertise to the NHS Golden Jubilee radiography team.

Chloe, originally from Orkney and now living in Greenock, said: “It was a lovely surprise to have even been nominated for the Radiography Professional of the Year, even more so to receive the Scottish Award.

“I am delighted to have received recognition in a professional capacity and to have done so from my peers makes it all the more special.

“I look forward to representing NHS Golden Jubilee at the awards ceremony in London, meeting inspiring radiographers from around the UK, learning of their achievements and endeavours and hopefully gaining ideas to share locally.”

The Society of Radiographers, a professional body representing radiographers across the UK, is dedicated to promoting excellence in radiography practice. The organisation supports radiographers through education, research and advocacy, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Richard Evans OBE, Society of Radiographers CEO, said: “It is a privilege to commend Chloe Peace for her exceptional contributions to radiography. In just 2 years, Chloe has demonstrated remarkable leadership and dedication, taking on a Band 7 role with confidence and maturity.

“Her commitment to improving patient care, service delivery and the student experience has made a significant impact on her team and the wider department. Chloe’s ability to foster a calm, supportive environment while advancing her own skills, particularly in image interpretation and student liaison, exemplifies her as a standout professional in our field.

“On behalf of the Society of Radiographers, I congratulate Chloe on this well-deserved recognition.”

NHS Golden Jubilee continues to lead the way in delivering exceptional care and is renowned for its innovative radiography services such as the Scottish National Radiology Reporting Service (SNRRS)*.

NHS Golden Jubilee Chief Executive, Gordon James, said: “We are incredibly proud of Chloe for this well-deserved recognition. Her dedication and achievements are a source of pride for all of us at NHS Golden Jubilee.

“We wish her the best of luck as she advances in her career and moves forward with her nomination for the UK Radiographer of the Year award.”
