Just last month we hosted our Members Meet Up right here in our amazingly historic boardroom. The turnout was incredible and so many connections were made across the morning.
Our members came together to Meet, Mingle and Maximise their membership, and what made this event particularly special was the chance for guests to engage with colleagues from right across our organisation.
From membership and international trade and Certifications to events and communications, from Circular Glasgow, to the Developing the Young Workforce team, each department was represented, giving attendees a fuller picture of who we are and what we do. It’s not often you get the chance to speak with such a cross-section of expertise in one room, and the feedback reflected just how valuable that opportunity was.
Following the opportunity to present at the most recent new members session, the DYW team have established links with two organisations who were in attendance and a further two relationships as a result of our initial meetings. This in turn has allowed us to refer one of the organisations to our Primary School DYW team where there may be the opportunity to facilitate their product within that environment and refer another to the Paid Work Placement team which will support growth and output for that organisation. This really showcases the value and impact that engaging with the whole chamber team through their membership can bring to organisations.
These kinds of gatherings reinforce the power of the Chamber! Creating meaningful opportunities for people to meet, connect, and grow together. Whether it was a shared coffee (or doughnut). a business card exchange, or a deeper discussion about collaboration, the connections made during this event will no doubt continue to grow.
