Job Description

The job holder will be an excellent organiser and communicator who can readily empathise with people and families. With a small staff team, a positive attitude is required as is flexibility to work varied hours on varied duties.

Please note this is a fixed term work placement with a maximum duration of 22 weeks 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide reception services and associated administration duties
• Publicise Company activities via electronic media
• Set up halls and equipment as required
• Open and close premises as required by assuming keyholder status
• Identify potential safety problems and take suitable actions
• Enhance our customer service delivery by acting in a helpful, pleasant manner and providing information
• Attend team meetings when required
• Contribute to activities, programmes and projects when required
• Provide flexible, hands-on support and guidance to volunteers
• Encourage socialising by creating a welcoming, calm and safe environment

 Essential

• Well-developed computer skills
• Competent in use of electronic media
• Able to manage your own workload effectively
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to lift and set up furniture and equipment
• Able to stay calm and focused in a busy environment

Number of Hours Per Week 25 hours per week for 22 weeks

Wages

Salary will be paid monthly and will be £12.60 per hour

The postholder will be predominantly based in Barmulloch Residents Centre, 54 Quarrywood Road, Glasgow, G21 3ET but may be required to work in other locations

Details of Training Provided

The successful applicant will be provided with training in First Aid, Food Safety, and health and safety policies.

The position will be supervised by the Project Leader and will have monthly 1-to-1s with the Chief Executive.
