Job Description

The financially Included team are keen to recruit someone that has a positive outlook and is willing to learn, someone who is keen to be part of a project that is tackling the economic impact of all forms of male violence against women and girls.

The role will involve supporting the manager and team with a variety of administration duties, such as uploading documents, helping with some calls, emails and letters.

Supporting with planning and running events and meetings.

A large part of the role would be working on keeping our social media channels up to date with content and working alongside the team for ideas for content.

We have a friendly and flexible but fast paced environment and will offer you support and training.

Please note this placement is a work placement opportunity for the duration of 26 weeks 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • providing administrative support to the team, disseminating information about Financially Included and its work on social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Insta) and the Gemap website
  • event administration, including co-ordinating bookings, delegates list, and general support
  • dealing with general correspondence
  • financial administration support
  • organising and administering meetings (internal and external), including minuting and managing calendars
  • provide hospitality to visitors/Board etc.
  • answering/forwarding calls/taking messages
  • ordering stationery and office supplies
  • Assisting with database management, uploading documents and sending letters

Essential skills, experience and qualifications

The post is open to women only (exempt under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010)

We are seeking someone that:

  • Can work as part of a small team
  • Is organised and can balance a variety of duties
  • Someone who is empathetic and can speak with members of the public
  • Someone who has an understanding of male violence against women and girls
  • Has IT skills, preferably with experience of word, outlook, teams and excel
  • Knows how to work social media pages such as X, Facebook and Instagram
  • Is willing to learn and undertake training
  • Is a strong communicator, verbally and written

Number of Hours Per Week 21 hours per week for 26 weeks

Working pattern and contracted hours (including any shift patterns)
Mon/Tue/Wed 9am-5pm (Option for some home working is possible)
