South West Arts and Music Project (SWAMP)
Job Description
To support the promotion of SWAMP and the Greater Pollok Community Hub through creative social media content, digital marketing, and community engagement. This role will help increase awareness of our services, activities, and impact while giving the young person practical experience and skills in media, communications, and marketing.
Please note this is a fixed term work placement for the maximum duration of 26 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging content (posts, photos, videos, stories) for SWAMP’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, etc).
- Support the development of marketing campaigns to promote events, workshops, and community programmes.
- Assist in updating the SWAMP website with news, blogs, and project updates.
- Work with staff and volunteers to gather stories, testimonials, and photos that highlight SWAMP’s impact.
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and help build online community relationships.
- Produce simple posters, flyers, and digital graphics to support community outreach.
- Track social media performance (likes, shares, reach) and report back to staff.
- Support the overall communications and branding strategy of SWAMP.
Essential skills, experience and qualifications
- Interest in social media, marketing, or digital communications.
- Creative thinker with an eye for design and storytelling.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms
- Willingness to learn new digital tools and techniques.
- Team player with enthusiasm for community-led projects.
