“The Kickstart Scheme has allowed WEEE Scotland to engage much more with the local community and offer an opportunity to young people in the G52 Postcode. Through a close relationship with Glasgow Chamber, along with an internal support programme, we have been successful in bringing seven young people into full time employment at the end of their Kickstart placement. Currently, we still have a number of young people going through the programme and, all being well, we will recruit them too. The relationship with the Chamber has been a key part of this success and has allowed us to tailor the training and education of the young people to their needs and also provide them with the best opportunity to get full time employment.”

At Connect Three we have had a really positive experience working with Glasgow Chamber and having Gregor Murray join our team. Gregor came to us eager to learn and confident to get involved in a variety of projects. Having someone join from the Kickstart Scheme has benefited the team and helped us find the right structure to ensure Gregor has the full support needed to develop. We have been able to find lots of opportunities to give Gregor as much exposure in order to learn and progress, as possible, in this early stage of his career. We would definitely look at future opportunities to work with the Chamber again.
