Born and bred in Glasgow, Stuart is passionate about the City and indeed Scotland. A career Banker, he has spent more than 20 years working in support of businesses of all sizes.
Stuart believes that retaining and attracting business and investment to Glasgow and the West of Scotland is the essential component required to ensure prosperity and job security and is delighted to be able to contribute to that through his Directorship of The Chamber.
Stuart is an Associate of Consilium Chartered Accountants.
Stuart was Captain of Haggs Castle Golf Club in the Millennium Year and since 2002 has chaired the Club's Annual Burns Supper - recently described in The Herald as "one of the most convivial anywhere"
He is married with 2 children and in what spare time he has his hobbies are Sport - especially golf, rugby and football, The Scout Movement and The work of Robert Burns.
