A previous President of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, Neil is one of Scotland’s leading transport, environmental and parliamentary lawyers. He also leads Anderson Strathern’s Brexit group and regularly writes articles, both to provide insight into how Brexit has changed the wider business landscape and also regarding overall business resilience.
His transport practice covers contractual and regulatory aspects of rail (passenger and freight), tram, roads (including freight transport), bus / coach, aviation, ferry and short sea shipping and harbours operational and infrastructure matters, meaning he is perfectly placed to advise on Brexit-related matters. Neil is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (UK) and a member of the Rail Freight Group, the European Aviation Law Association and is the company secretary and director of the Scottish Maritime Cluster.
He’s also a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Environmental Law Sub-Committee, a board member of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce and he is also a member of its Economic Advisory Group.
