Export Documentation

We can help with all your export documentation and processing requirements. This can be a simple process when you know how but understanding which document is required for each shipment to each destination can be difficult. Our expert documentation team can give support, guidance and make the whole documentation process as straightforward as possible.

We provide a documentation processing service for the following:

European Certificates of Origin & Authentication of Invoices and Other Documents
Glasgow Chamber of Commerce is authorised to issue European Community Certificates of Origin and carry out the authentication of invoices and other documents. You may be asked to raise a Certificate of Origin to comply with Letters of Credit, foreign Customs requirements or even a customer request.

Arab British Certification and Legalisation
Arab Certificates of Origin can be completed by the exporter or his agent and presented to the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce to be forwarded to the Arab British Chamber of Commerce. This is then certified by the Arab British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), and legalised by the Embassy of the importing Arab country, certifying the origin of the goods stated therein.

Egyptian-British Certification and Legalisation
Glasgow Chamber of Commerce is a recognised agent of the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce and can arrange the certification and legislation of various documents for export to Egypt.

Foreign & Commonwealth Office/Embassies
We can also arrange for documents to be legalised either at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office or at various other embassies.

EUR1 Form (Movement Certificate)
In some countries, an EUR1 document can help your buyer import your goods more cheaply under preference.  Preference means that your buyer may pay lower or nil rates of import duty on your goods.

ATR (Movement Certificate)
An ATR Document is a goods movement certificate used for preferential treatment of goods moved between the European Community and Turkey.

ATA Carnet
The ATA Carnet is a temporary admission document which acts as a "passport for goods" for three main categories of Community status goods. Using an ATA Carnet cuts out red tape for you at border points avoiding cash deposits etc in the country of temporary importation. It can be used for multiple trips and is valid for one year covering 64 countries.

International Import Certificates
An International Import Certificate constitutes an undertaking by the importer to import the goods into the country of destination, without diversion or transhipment elsewhere, and not to re-export the goods without an export licence from the Licensing Authority in the country of importation. It is also an assurance from the Government of that country that it will control any subsequent export of those goods.

Notarisation of Documents
We can also organise notarisation of documents.

The majority of documents can be processed online through Esscert.
